Stargate Universe: Aftermath

I didn’t like this episode.  Rush is quite literally going insane.  He’s hallucinating, and he knows it, but he still thinks he’s a better candidate to lead the expedition than Col. Young.  It doesn’t feel very realistic.  It also doesn’t seem likely that he would actually keep to himself the information he is keeping to himself.  It’s extremely selfish and can only be harmful to the others.  He’s also pretty fanatical about Destiny having some as yet undiscovered purpose, and that’s kind of grating.

The business with Riley was pretty sad, and serves to drive Col. Young even deeper into the dark place he’s hiding in.  He’s going to snap one of these days.

In the previews for the next episode, they appear to have located the ship that was going through and seeding planets with Stargates.  It seems kind of convenient that they got to Destiny as it was nearing the seed ship…
